LabPi for Forensics

Forensic LIMS whose custody record is the evidence

Every transfer, aliquot, and result has a person and a time. If it cannot be explained, it does not belong in the case file.

  • ISO/IEC 17025
  • ANAB / NABL forensic scopes
  • Chain of custody
  • Privacy of case data

What these labs track in LabPi

Sample types and work products for this lab, not a generic tube list.

  • Toxicology specimens
  • DNA evidence
  • Seized materials
  • Trace evidence
  • Sub-exhibits
  • Reference samples

How the work actually runs

  1. Evidence intake

A submission opens a case. Items and sub-items get their own identities and seals, not a single shared row.

  2. Section worklists

Toxicology, DNA, and chemistry can work the same case without sharing more of the file than their role allows.

  3. Report and disclosure

The authorized report and the custody export are generated from the same events the lab already recorded.
